Expressive Women

We are Expressive Women.  We are an open community choir based in Northcote.  We bring women in the community together to explore their voices, the richness of world music, and to connect with one another through song and personal storytelling.

Every Tuesday night from 7pm during school terms we meet in the Northcote Uniting Church (251 High St)

We welcome new women at the beginning of each term. No previous singing experience is required. We create a safe space for women to develop their singing potential, supported by each other and facilitated by director Bronwyn Calcutt – a highly experienced singer and teacher who has led the group for 7 years.

The performances of Expressive Women are much loved for their vitality, freshness and joy. The group has made a CD which captures these qualities in 12 beautiful songs. The choir welcomes all offers to perform at community festivals and events, for private occasions, and in hospitals, schools and aged care facilities.

Anyone wishing to join the group or request a performance is invited to contact Bronwyn Calcutt on 0421 426117.
