•Eric is 89 years of age 11/1/1927 and lives in Eltham, he has a daughter who teaches at this school in Visual Communications and Design.
•Eric has three grandchildren that went to this school.
•He grew up in Balwyn north (kew)
•Aged 14 Eric left school in 1941, he went to Shepparton for the war effort
•Daughter was born when Eric was 29 which in that same year Eric was a judge in the Olympics as a swimming race timer, where he would time a single lane.
•He built he’s own house in North Balwyn (kew) it was a Californian bungalow, he started in ‘54 and finished in ’56
•He always plans the next 10 years of his life out and is planning to move into an apartment in Eltham that is going to be built within the next couple of years.
•He started his own business building boats and engines. Marine conversions from car to boat engines and then competed them.
• In 1969 Built another home that is eco friendly.
•He then later sold the business and now his daughter and her husband “look over” the business
•For a job throughout his career, he worked with Magnesium for 6 years
•He was a patternmaker and also did tool making. He made patterns for the Holden cars and made them out of wood at Warren & Brown engineering business at Footscray
*He was interested in aircraft at 15 and went to school to learnt about that.
•He joined a group called-Friends of Edendale Environment centre in Eltham
•He played hockey for Victoria
•He was a boy scout when he was 14 for Wolf cubs
