Living in Banyule Road

I enjoy living in Banyule Road because there are so many benefits. I have have friendly neighbours, a primary school, easy access to ViewBank College, Residential Age Care Respite care and a bus service across the road and a Shared Trail close by.

Since I moved into Banyule Road many years ago, one of my neighbours came and introduced me to a small group of ladies called The Banyule Club Ladies. Still now after so many years I still enjoy the company of my friends who I meet monthly. It is still lovely to know what goes on around our area and with our families.

It was easy to walk my grandchildren to the Banyule Primary School until it was time for them to start at ViewBank College. Still it is a big advantage that my grandchildren can walk to school by themselves.

The Number 517 Bus passes across the road and takes people to Rosanna Station so we can take the train to the city. A trip to Northland by this bus is parking trouble free and a more pleasant shopping day.

In the past the Residential Age Care had been home to one of our ladies and she enjoyed her stay there in a caring atmosphere until it was time for her to move to another place.

I still enjoy living in Banyule Road and most of all I enjoy walking along the Shared Trail with my dog Jin. He walks first thing in the morning with my husband and goes all the way to McRae Road and all the way home. In the evening when I walk him he doesn’t like to walk as far but it is good to see through the talll trees to see the start of the sun setting in the west and sometimes I can hear the laughing of a kookaburra.
