In May 2007, the participants of Sussex Neighbourhood House celebrated Neighbourhood House Week with the launch of a beautiful community quilt created by the many groups who regularly meet at the neighbourhood house.
Each panel of the quilt was created by a group within the House, and the process of creating the concept for the quilt, and bringing the panels together was one which brought many positive outcomes for the individuals, the groups and the House itself. The Quilt hangs in the neighbourhood house and is a constant source of pride, and animated conversation as House users and visitors stop to admire it and chat.
